     I don't know if many people know this, but I'm the only guy on the Seventeen team right now. So it was obvious that I'd be sent to the Men's Biore Facial Launch that happened this week. This is what I picked up from it (other than a hefty workout from climbing a wall).

Letters to Juliet

Thank you Seventeen for the free tickets to watch Letters To Juliet! My friends and I had such an amazing time!

Growing up with reruns of Disney cartoons planted in me a love for happy endings and happily ever afters. Being as such, I enjoyed Letters To Juliet immensely! Love was really circulating around the cinema (for real) yesterday and the audience laughed along the subtle jokes, gasped at the frantic moments and cheered for the happy ending. I guess there is a hopeless romantic in every one of us!

Clean & Clear Sends Best Friends on a Holiday

The contest, called "Ready. Jet Set. Jom!" got teens to submit videos of themselves on YouTube on their "dream holiday" with their best friends. Their goal? To take on the world together- exactly what Clean & Clear did for them.

VANS 'OWN THE STREETS'

    With music blaring, bass thumping, graffiti sprayed and boards and bikes flying around - the launch of VANS Concept Store on May 14th at Sunway Pyramid. Themed 'Own the Streets', Vans celebrated its launch party with an ingenious mix of extreme sports and concert simultaneously. Skateboard, roller blade and park BMX enthusiast pitched their skills against one another in a unique gator pit flybox. For those of you who don't speak the slang, the gator pit flybox is two ramps placed between a junk car. Local indie band - Bunkface and Couple held a concert simultaneously with Shieko and Kenji (street graffiti artists) sprayed their artwork on a canvas of 35 skate decks. This 3-in-1 busking launch was an evening to remember by. 

It's Big. It's Green. And it isn't The Hulk!

 The fourth and final installment of Shrek Tetralogy hits cinemas on May 20^th.

    Shrek Forever After is available in 3-D bringing you directly into the world of Shrek – with a donkey that never stops talking, a cat that wears boots and our ugly adorable ogre (of course).

    After challenging a female dragon, rescuin a beautiful princess, fighting off a boot wearing and saving your in-law’s kingdom twice . . . what more can an ogre possibly do?

    Well, Shrek has become a family-ogre, domesticated and docile. Shrek agrees to autograph pitch forks, his swamp becomes a tourist attraction and he's stuck changing his triplet’s diapers in retrospect to his prior life – a roaring, bountied scary ogre! 

 Longing for the days when he was feared as an ‘ogre’, Shrek is duped into signing a magical contract, one with the ability to change everything! However, after signing the contract, Shrek is thrown into a time where everything happened as though Shrek had never been born. Rumpelstiltskin, is now King of “Far Far Away” land, Donkey becomes a singing-cart puller and Puss-in-Boots is now a fat Garfield wanna-be!

How will Shrek undo the contract and the diabolical plot of Rumpelstiltskin?

    Fairy tail, or rather Ogre tail aside, Shrek Forever After fails to bring back the fits of laughter from its predecessors. Sure there are some elements of humour here and there, but it never lasts more than a few giggles. The lack of comedy and “out-of-ideas-lets-just-go-with-this-script” mode, made it a rather dull closure to the previous 3. On the upside, seeing a chubby Puss-in-Boots in 3-D is more than enough a reason to watch this movie!

Chocolate vs breast cancer! My money's on chocolate. =)
